小星猫生活的上古时期，天上有十个太阳，烧得庄稼枯焦、土地干涸、酷热难当，黎民百姓苦不堪言。神射手后羿不忍见百姓受苦，在小星猫和仙女的帮助下一连射下九个太阳，救苍生于水火。从此，气候适宜，人民安居乐业，万物得以生长。而仙女因服下西王母赐予的仙丹，带着玉兔奔向天庭。。加州海岸一直都存在着两只巨大史前海洋生物，他们为了取得海洋的霸主地位而争斗了数百年，直到有一天他们被冰河所冻结。近年来，随着气温的升高，这两只史前生物又复活了，他们在海洋中依然为所欲为，人类的生存受到了威胁，人类必须要解决这样的危机，一场人与史前生物的惨烈争斗开始了。。John Kent (Randolph Scott), a former star football player at Harvard, goes to Paris with his friend Huck Haines (Fred Astaire) and the latter's dance band, the Wabash Indianians.
