薇卡是个13岁的女孩，已经开始了朦胧的性意识。同她周围其他孩子的父母一样，她的父母不知不觉发觉孩子已经长大了，这似乎让这些青春期孩子的父母有些措手不及。沉闷的德语与算术课、躲避着自己争吵的父母、身旁走过的男孩子们，还有舞蹈房里轻盈的身影，这一切幽雅讲述了一个懵懂的少女的恋爱。在急速追赶的火车站，薇卡品尝到了爱的激动。然而青春的恋情总带着青涩，毕竟有了初吻。。阿四的婚姻没有名份，她在乡间结识中医师家明，两情相悦，随他来港，但家明早有妻女，廿五年来与大婆阿香共处一室，阿四每天拼命工作赚钱只为实现丈夫家明开中药店。而独生女爱莲，嫁予富商志超，表面生活风光，然而志超也另有家室，与爱莲并非合法夫妇。阿四不禁为她担心，可是反遭爱莲警告不能告知家明和阿香。后家明得知迁怒阿四，换来与阿香回乡，留下阿四独自神伤……。This film marks the directorial debut of Robert Benayoun.
